Beautiful blooms are garden treats but a tree’s “skin” can provide a symphony of colour and texture.

Foliage and flowers usually take centre stage in the garden but bark also adds much visual interest to a planting scheme, with colours and textures changing seasonally. Native eucalypts have a spectacular outer covering. The old bark is shed annually from smooth trunks and creates a dramatic colour contrast with the new growth.

Don’t just look up at trees, enjoy eye level too...
