Southern Highlands beauty!

Southern Highlands beauty!

The aim of the brief was to create a garden that was to be visually in sync with the home.  A series of axis were aligned with the windows and verandahs of this architecturally balanced house to achieve this. There was a need to take into consideration both the outlook to generous views and the very practical issue of drainage on this flat piece of land when doing the overall design.

Leighton green hedges create a series of rooms that entice you and direct you around this property. Lawn alleys, ponds, pleached Pear trees, groves of Birch and Oak, avenues of Olive trees as well as ornamental grasses and organic stone walls comprise the elements in this formal, though no fuss, garden.

Vantage points were made the most of with timber and stone bench placed so that the views of the countryside and back into the garden can be enjoyed.
