A large classic inspired garden situated in Sydney’s lower north shore, the aim was to make the garden as grand as the house by giving the entry a sense of welcoming and breaking the outside area into rooms. This not only allowed the garden to seem larger but meant that we could incorporate different themes within each room even though there is a unifying link between each garden space. Main axis are used from the entry gate to front door and a dissecting axis travelling across the entry width of the front garden. These are promoted and defined through the use of pleached Pears. A tennis court, a swimming pool, large urns, a reflective pond, magnificent existing trees; each are focal points in their own room.
